Spectersync Local

The same content engine that powers the hosted workspace, running entirely on your own machine.

Spectersync Local pulls your Shopify, WordPress, Ghost, or Webflow content into a folder of plain markdown on disk, watches it for changes, and pushes your edits back — with dry-run previews and conflict detection in the loop. Your post bodies, drafts, and folder structure never touch our servers. Point any AI tool, editor, or script at the folder; the round-trip is handled for you.

There are two doors.

Spectersync Core — the paid desktop app

A signed, notarized macOS app with automatic updates and support. You pay for the packaged installer, the in-app updater, and a direct line to the builder — the engine underneath is the same one that’s open source. $99/year.

Spectersync DIY — free and open source

The AGPLv3 edition. Inspect it, fork it, build it yourself, and run your own local sync for free, forever. No signed installer, no commercial auto-updates, no priority support — that’s exactly what Core buys.

Not sure you want to self-host?

The fastest way to start is the hosted workspace — no install, no build, and 500 free credits when your workspace opens. The local editions are for people who specifically want the engine on their own hardware, with their content as files on disk.
